Hackathon SheAI: AI for an inclusive society
Press release
On December 15th, 16th and 17th, 2023, La French tech Prague, 42 Prague, the Embassy of France in the Czech Republic and the French Institute in Prague organise a hackathon for women, “SheAI: AI for an inclusive society”.
Artificial intelligence is one of the most powerful drivers of structural changes in the economy and society and can now be found in all sectors. If used properly, it can help meet the major challenges of our time: ecological transition, health, etc. However, the place of women in these key technologies for the future of our societies remains very low – 20% in average throughout Europe, 10% in the Czech Republic which has the lowest rate.
The “SheAI hackathon” aims at encouraging women of all backgrounds to discover the potential of AI tools, learn how to use it and contribute to shaping the future of a more inclusive and diverse society.
The event is open to all women (from 17 years old), whatever their previous experience with AI and digital tools might be. They will have two days to work in teams and design creative projects, falling into two categories: 1. coding project using AI techniques (machine learning, computer vision, etc.) and 2. creative projects using Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, no-code, etc) not requiring coding skills.
A total 150,000 Kc will be awarded to the winning projects, thanks to the support of our sponsors: Bluelink, Codifis, KINSKÝ Žďár, Novartis and SII.
The programme will be as follows:
- On Friday December 15th, at the French Institute, the participants will pitch their projects, and teams will be formed.
- From Saturday December 16th at 9AM, to Sunday December 17th at 3PM, the hackers will be working on their projects at 42 Prague. 9 mentors from the Czech Republic and France will be there to advise them and help them bringing their project to life.
- On Sunday December 17th at 3PM, all groups will give a short presentation of their finished projects to the members of the jury.
The results will be announced at 4.30PM.
