Yusen Logistics (Czech) Launches Construction of New Green Park Kolín Facility

Yusen Logistics
Yusen Logistics (Czech) s. r. o. has officially launched the construction of its new logistics facility, Green Park Kolín, with a traditional first pillar ceremony. The event, held in the spirit of Japanese tradition and attended by key partners and guests from the Ovčáry industrial zone, featured a symbolic ritual with sake, salt, and rice — a gesture meant to bless the pillar, ensure smooth and safe progress of the construction, and bring prosperity and positive energy to the new building.
The new warehouse, set to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026, is being built right next to the company’s existing operation. The 22,000 sqm building will provide a modern, sustainable logistics space featuring 27 hydraulic docks, 9 drive-in doors, a 12-meter clear height, and a high floor load capacity of 11.9 tons per square meter.
A strong focus is placed on sustainability and efficient energy management. The roof will be fitted with 766 photovoltaic panels with a total output of 400 kWp, supplying electricity to both the new and existing facilities. Additional features include water retention systems, LED lighting, skylights, and charging stations for electric vehicles. Designed to meet the highest energy standards, the building will minimize operating costs and environmental impact.
The general contractor for the project is DEMACO, a boutique developer and manager of premium industrial properties, responsible for the full construction process:
“We are proud to be part of the development of this modern logistics center. Our goal is to create a space that is not only fully functional but also highly flexible for various uses and environmentally friendly,” said Tomáš Budař, Managing Director of DEMACO Construction s.r.o.
The new facility will expand Yusen Logistics’ capacity in the Central Bohemia region and strengthen its position in contract logistics and value-added services, including customs, tax, and specialized warehousing solutions.
Hynek Staněk, Managing Director of Yusen Logistics (Czech) s.r.o., adds: “The investment in this new facility aligns with our long-term strategy for growth and sustainable logistics. Having our own building provides greater flexibility for our customers in terms of lease length and space customization to meet specific requirements. The first pillar ceremony symbolically marks another milestone in Yusen Logistics’ development in the Czech Republic.”
